Duties Description THE OFFICE OF COURT ADMINISTRATION – DIVISION OF COURT MODERNIZATION IS RECRUITING FOR FEW POSITIONS IN THE NETWORK SYSTEM ENGINEER SERIES. THESE POSITIONS WILL BE FILLED IN ANY OF THESE TITLES AND WILL BE DEPENDENT ON THE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE OF THE APPLICANTS SELECTED.POSITION TITLE: NETWORK SYSTEM ENGINEER III JG: 28BASE SALARY: $110,853 + $4,920 Location PayASSIGNMENT: A Network System Engineer III serves in a Project Coordinator capacity, supporting assigned project teams and providing regular updates to the Project Manager. Their responsibilities include maintaining project documentation, tracking deadlines, communicating progress updates, and supporting daily operational needs. Project Coordinators operate under the guidance of both Project Managers and Senior Managers, ensuring that project execution remains efficient and organized.Responsibilities include:Project Scheduling and Logistics• Coordinate on-site visits for AV/IT system deployments in courtrooms, training rooms, and public areas.• Schedule equipment installations and testing sessions with engineers, vendors, and local court contacts.• Maintain an updated master calendar of active and upcoming installations.Communication and Stakeholder Coordination• Serve as the communication bridge between deployment teams, trainers, court administrators, and external vendors.• Ensure that local court staff are notified of project phases such as installation, testing, and training.• Communicate project progress and logistics to the assigned Project Manager and Senior Managers.Documentation and Tracking• Assist in preparing and updating project checklists, installation plans, training materials, and user guides.• Track completion of project milestones such as room readiness, equipment receipt, and system validation.• Help maintain equipment tracking sheets, deployment logs, and documentation libraries.Training Support• Perform training and/or assist trainers in setting up training schedules with court staff, judges, and legal professionals.• Coordinate training courtroom availability and distribute links to online user guides and how-to videos.• Track attendance and feedback from training participants.Issue Escalation and Resolution• Log and escalate installation issues or configuration delays to Engineers or Technical Managers.• Follow up with deployment or training staff to verify that issues have been addressed.Quality Assurance and Compliance• Verify that completed rooms meet modernization standards and that all components are installed per design.• Coordinate post-installation walk-throughs and post-installation photos for final approval.• Ensure adherence to UCS aesthetic and accessibility requirements.Support for Public-Facing Technology• Coordinate signage, charging station, and digital kiosk installations in Help Centers and public lobbies.• Track signage templates and messaging coordination with communications staff.POSITION TITLE: NETWORK SYSTEM ENGINEER II JG: 25BASE SALARY: $94,386 + $4,920 Location PayASSIGNMENT: A Network System Engineer II is a technical specialist responsible for the delivery, integration, and maintenance of AV/IT systems. Their scope of work includes structured cabling, audio and acoustic systems, evidence presentation technology, video conferencing, live streaming, digital signage, and accessibility solutions. Engineers participate in system architecture and design, perform hands-on implementation and integration, and conduct rigorous testing to ensure performance and reliability. They also manage advanced troubleshooting, perform in-person training for court staff and attorneys, contribute to technical documentation, and support the development of dashboards, databases, and user guides.POSITION TITLE: NETWORK SYSTEM ENGINEER I JG: 23BASE SALARY: $84,659 + $4,920 Location PayASSIGNMENT: A Network System Engineer I is responsible for the delivery, integration, and maintenance of AV/IT systems under the guidance of a Network System Engineer II/III. Their scope of work includes structured cabling, audio and acoustic systems, evidence presentation technology, video conferencing, live streaming, digital signage, and accessibility solutions. The Network System Engineer I is expected to perform hands-on implementation and integration and conduct rigorous testing to ensure performance and reliability. They perform advanced troubleshooting, conduct in-person training for court staff and attorneys,contribute to technical documentation, and support the development of dashboards, databases, and user guides.LOCATION: OFFICE OF COURT ADMINISTRATION - DIVISION OF COURT MODERNIZATION, NEW YORK CITY
