Job Description: We are currently in search of a
Manufacturing Execution System - Solution Architect
to join the team.
Responsibilities Lead and deliver MES technology strategy and solutions to support Ignition software platform-based manufacturing execution systems. Understand project requirements to architect MES applications using appropriate Ignition and/or Ignition-authorized third-party modules for use in the manufacturing space. Design and develop IT infrastructure to support MES applications. Design control/SCADA systems including databases and database interfaces, data analytics and reporting, scripting (Python, etc.), and general programming. Manage service vendors for IT needs related to shopfloor applications. Provide technical leadership for both application development and architecture design. Recommend and implement common system solutions across all locations and functions, aligning with broader system standards. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience. Ignition 8.1 Gold Certification (Inductive Automation). Hands-on experience in architecting, designing, and developing control/Ignition SCADA systems, including databases and database interfaces, Tag Providers, Ignition Edge/Enterprise, and Ignition foundation drivers. Hands-on experience with Ignition Perspective and Python programming. Preferred Qualifications:
Manufacturing domain experience. Knowledge of industrial control systems. Understanding of backend computing infrastructure used in manufacturing (compute hardware, virtualization, operating systems, networking, databases, etc.). Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Skills and Certifications:
Ignition 8.1 certification
