LCAT Description: A System Administrator must have experience in conducting routine system administration tasks and logging data in system admin logs. Systems administrators are responsible for maintaining system efficiency. Experience in maintaining troubleshooting a wide variety of systems and networks to include high volume/high availability systems. Must have knowledge on a number of debugging protocols and processes. Must be able to troubleshoot problems and issues identified by customers and implement corrective actions quickly.
LCAT Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required with 0 years of experience, or 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
Description: Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and proactive System Administrator with expertise in both Windows and Linux environments, and hands-on experience managing ServiceNow MID Servers. This role is critical in supporting our IT infrastructure and ensuring seamless integration between ServiceNow and enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities: • Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server and Linux (RedHat/CentOS/Ubuntu) systems. • Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot ServiceNow MID Servers to support integrations with on-premise systems. • Monitor system performance, ensure high availability, and perform regular system updates and patching. • Collaborate with ServiceNow developers and ITSM teams to support discovery, orchestration, and integration use cases. • Implement and maintain security best practices across all systems. • Automate routine tasks using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python. • Maintain system documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration details, and standard operating procedures. • Participate in incident response and root cause analysis for system-related issues. Required
Qualifications: • 3+ years of experience in system administration across Windows and Linux platforms. • Strong understanding of ServiceNow architecture and MID Server functionality. • Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy. • Familiarity with network protocols and firewall configurations relevant to MID Server communication. • Proficiency in scripting and automation tools. • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills. Preferred Qualifications: • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator or related certification. • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet). • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and hybrid environments. • ITIL Foundation certification.
