Title: PCB Designer (PADS) - High Power Electronics Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled

PCB Designer

with expertise in

PADS

and a background in

high-power electronics . The ideal candidate will have

strong electrical and PCB design skills

rather than a mechanical focus. They will be responsible for managing and improving our PADS library, ensuring consistency between schematics, reference designators, PCBA layouts, and MRP BOMs. This role requires extensive documentation control, change management, and collaboration with internal and external teams to support product development.

Key Responsibilities: Overhaul and maintain the

PADS library

to improve consistency and usability. Ensure alignment between

schematics, reference designators, PCBA layouts, and MRP BOMs

through thorough checking and corrections. Manage and execute

Engineering Change Requests (ECR), Engineering Change Orders (ECO), and Engineering Change Notices (ECN) . Own and manage

Gerber files, design packages, and uploads

to the company's hard disk-based server system. Work closely with

PCB fabrication houses

for

DFM (Design for Manufacturability)

considerations. Collaborate with

PCBA assembly teams

at Crescend to optimize

DFA (Design for Assembly) . Translate

eCAD designs

into mechanical models for SolidWorks teams, ensuring accurate communication between

electrical and mechanical CAD . Support

CPD (Concurrent Product Development)

initiatives. Preferably, have experience with

RF PCB design . Required Qualifications:

Strong PCB design experience using PADS

(Altium users must be willing to transition). Background in high-power electronics

(electrical focus preferred over mechanical). Experience in Document Control & Change Management

related to PCB designs. Knowledge of

ERP/MRP systems

(preferably Epicor). Familiarity with

Gerber files, PCB fabrication, and PCBA assembly processes . Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with

mechanical engineers (SolidWorks integration) . Experience working with

DFM/DFA principles

and external manufacturing partners. Preferred Qualifications:

RF PCB design experience

is a plus.
