Job Summary The Clinical Staff Educator for Critical Care Transport oversees planning and implementation of education and training in advancing the clinical expertise and professional growth of our specialized transport team. In partnership with the transport leadership and interprofessional partners, this educator functions as a facilitator, consultant, change agent, and leader to support high-quality, safe patient care in the unique and dynamic environment of pediatric critical care transport.

In collaboration with transport leadership, the Clinical Staff Educator also partners with community providers and referring hospitals to deliver targeted education that enhances the safety and quality of pediatric critical care transport. This includes designing and implementing evidence-based training on patient stabilization, communication during transfers, and transport readiness. By fostering relationships through outreach, simulation, and collaborative learning, the educator strengthens continuity of care and builds shared clinical expertise across the region.

This role is responsible for assessing learning needs and designing evidence-based education that promotes clinical excellence across all transport modalities, including ground and air. The educator supports orientation, continuing education, competency assessment, and professional development initiatives using adult learning principles and pediatric-specific best practices. With a focus on critical thinking, rapid decision-making, and teamwork in high-stakes situations, the educator ensures our transport clinicians remain skilled, confident, and current in both clinical knowledge and operational readiness.

Pay Range Minimum $58.34 Midpoint $77.32 Maximum $96.29

Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.

Experience

* Required: Minimum three (3) years of clinical nursing experience in an area of specialty. One (1) year of mentoring/teaching experience.

* Preferred: Two (2) years of clinical education experience within the specialty area.

Education

* Required: Bachelor's of Science degree in Nursing from an accredited (BRN) school of Nursing.

* Preferred: Masters degree in Nursing or related field.

Training

* Required: Certification in specialty area (within 6 months of hire) and other certification as required.

Specialized Skills

* Required: Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc. Basic knowledge of audio-visual equipment. Knowledge of regulatory/accreditation agency standards. Effective oral and written communication skills. Knowledge and application of adult learning theory. Interpersonal relationship, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to work efficiently and maintain flexibility in an environment subject to numerous interruptions, e.g., multiple demands, inquiries, special project requirements, requiring critical deadlines. Strong organizational and prioritization skills; ability to set goals and evaluate results in accordance with the highest standards. Ability to provide care with sensitivity and respect; advances care through development of new ideas and technology; understands and exceeds customer expectations.

Licensure

* Required: Basic Life Support (BLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); Registered Nurse - CA (RN).
