is actively seeking a senior-level AI Systems Architect to join an advanced spacecraft engineering team supporting programs in the aerospace and defense industry. This is a remote-eligible role supporting key initiatives for the Tactical Space Systems Division (TSSD), with primary locations based in Dulles, VA and Gilbert, AZ.

Position Overview: As a member of the Fault Management & System Autonomy (FMSA) department, you will contribute to the systems engineering, implementation, and testing of spacecraft fault management and autonomy functionality. You'll collaborate closely with flight software engineers, test teams, and program leads to validate the performance of next-generation satellite systems.

Key Responsibilities: Perform traditional systems engineering tasks including verification and validation (V&V) planning, test development, and execution Implement STOL test scripts to verify fault management and system autonomy functions in both simulations and hardware-in-the-loop environments Support debugging efforts across flight software, test environments, and ground systems Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define and improve spacecraft autonomy features Deliver technical documentation including test procedures, design notes, and engineering reports Report project status regularly to the FMSA lead and stakeholders Basic Qualifications:

U.S. Citizenship required Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline and 12+ years of experience; or Master's degree with 10+ years; or PhD with 8+ years Experience with fault-tolerant spacecraft systems and avionics Proficiency in STOL or similar scripting/test languages Strong troubleshooting and system integration skills Working knowledge of spacecraft subsystem design, flight software, and mission operations Excellent communication and technical documentation skills Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with spacecraft command and telemetry databases Experience developing verification and validation documentation for aerospace systems Exposure to autonomy algorithms and AI-driven fault management concepts
