Electro-Mechanical Technician - Shift Work

Target Pay:
Up to $36.10 / hour based on experience We are seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the repair and installation of advanced production and manufacturing equipment. You will inspect and perform preventative maintenance according to manufacturer's specifications and may mentor less experienced mechanics. Your expertise will be critical in diagnosing malfunctions and performing complex repairs as needed. Please bring your own hand tools. This position involves continuous work in environments involving heat, noise, gas, and chemicals. It requires frequent physical activity, including lifting, climbing, standing, walking, crouching, squatting, bending, and kneeling. Weekend and holiday work may be necessary. Primary Responsibilities: Perform preventative maintenance on advanced production equipment Execute repairs on production equipment as needed Conduct breakdown analysis Oversee and assist with general housekeeping Upgrade production lines with new or upgraded technology Supervise the activities of outside contractors Manage line changeovers for packaging updates Ensure compliance with GMP, safety, and audit standards Work independently with limited supervision Document completion of tasks and work schedules Basic Qualifications: Must be 18 years or older Successfully pass a technical assessment focused on critical maintenance knowledge Experience with basic electrical systems (e.g., starters, fuses, contacts) Knowledge of electrical system installation and troubleshooting Familiarity with product manuals for repairs Ability to read and understand electrical schematics Experience troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns Competence in diagnostics and problem-solving Skill in reading mechanical drawings (e.g., hydraulics, pneumatics) Helpful Experience: Experience with mechanical systems (e.g., gearboxes, motors) Knowledge of compressors and ammonia refrigeration systems Experience with conveyors and airveyors Familiarity with electronics (e.g., level probes, flow meters) Experience with gears and gearboxes Background in hydraulic systems troubleshooting Understanding of kinematic principles Experience with packaging or high-speed production environments Familiarity with PLC and computer control systems Experience in pneumatics and air compression systems Knowledge of preventative maintenance data and charts Experience with pumps (troubleshooting, seal/motor replacement) Familiarity with SERVO and robotic systems Ability to work collaboratively in team settings Our company welcomes qualified applicants with criminal histories in compliance with applicable laws, including the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance and the Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance.
