A Brief Overview The position leads, designs, and implements development tools and processes for in-house development. The role supports cultural and operational transformation efforts and IT Technology process improvements, including but not limited to change management, application deployment, incident management continuous integration and deployment.
What you will do
• Design, build, and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions across AWS and OCI, enabling fully automated, multi-region infrastructure to support Kubernetes, RDS, ElastiCache, S3, Kafka, RabbitMQ, and other services. • Collaborate with software developers, product managers, SREs, and release engineering to integrate infrastructure into CI/CD pipelines, supporting seamless delivery of secure, compliant, and observable platforms. • Lead efforts to embed observability (APM, logging, metrics) and security/compliance controls directly into IaC patterns and platform services. • Build and maintain data replication workflows for supporting environments, enabling production-like scenarios while maintaining security and auditability. • Establish and maintain DevOps best practices, including branching strategies, code versioning, environment standardization, and continuous delivery automation. • Provide subject matter expertise on development tools, platform automation, infrastructure patterns, and release orchestration to accelerate delivery and operational efficiency. • Document infrastructure patterns, platform capabilities, and tooling, while identifying opportunities to improve standardization, reuse, and developer self-service. • Partner with engineering and IT to evaluate and adopt emerging technologies that enhance platform capabilities and align with enterprise goals. • Apply Agile methodologies and DevSecOps principles to ensure scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure solutions. • Participate in system integration testing, environment validation, and production readiness activities to ensure end-to-end reliability. • Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all corporate policies, security, and compliance standards.
Education Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred
Experience Qualifications • Typically 8+ years
Skills and Abilities • Deep understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and hands-on experience designing and delivering automated cloud infrastructure primarily on AWS and OCI, with an emphasis on multi-region architectures and service replication strategies. • Strong knowledge of Agile and DevOps practices with a platform mindset focused on automation, scalability, reliability, and security/compliance by design. • Proven experience integrating observability tools (APM, centralized logging, metrics) and security controls (e.g., IAM, encryption, scanning) into IaC pipelines. • Ability to partner with release engineering to embed infrastructure components into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring consistent deployments across environments. • Hands-on expertise managing infrastructure for Kubernetes, Amazon RDS, ElastiCache, S3, Kafka, RabbitMQ, and other distributed systems. • Familiarity with cross-environment data replication strategies, especially for supporting lower environments with production-like data in a secure and compliant way. • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and align stakeholders, including executives and business partners. • Advanced proficiency with Terraform, Python, Ansible, and related scripting tools; strong debugging, error handling, and automation workflows. • Proficiency in containerization (e.g., Docker) and securing container images using tools like Trivy, Snyk, or equivalent. • Strong understanding of software architecture, API services, and platform-level integration patterns, including SOA/microservices best practices. • Experience optimizing CI/CD processes, including code quality, security, testing automation, and compliance enforcement. • Passion for platform enablement and delivering reusable, self-service infrastructure that accelerates developer velocity. • High attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills to manage complex, evolving infrastructure landscapes.
Licenses and Certifications • HashiCorp Terraform Associate Certification or equivalent hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform preferred.

The preferred location for this role is Atlanta, GA, and the salary range for this location is $106,300.00 to $233,800.00. All qualified external applicants will be considered for an in-office role, based in Atlanta. All qualified internal candidates are encouraged to apply and consider relocation to Atlanta and may be considered for remote hire at the company's discretion. The candidate's final salary offer will be based on the candidate's skills, education, work location and experience.
A candidate's compensation may also include bonuses consistent with TriNet's corporate bonus plan.
