SUMMARY Set-up and perform a wide variety of mechanical and visual inspections, to close tolerances, on highly diversified and complex parts and/or assemblies. Low degree of customer and government representative(s) interfacing. Willingness to work/train towards becoming an Inspector Level I. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The noise level in the work environment is conducive of a manufacturing shop environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include, but not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Reading blueprints to determine inspection set-up and inspection methods. Filling out Material Rejection Reports and/or Vendor Rejection Reports when non-conforming conditions are detected. Recording of inspection results on related inspection reports. Inspections to be performed at both machine areas and quality department where applicable. Usage of cranes for movement of parts from a pallet to an inspection table. Use of a complete range of mechanical inspection equipment such as CMM machine, FARO Arm, Keyence Wide Area, CMM (training on these to be provided if applicable), micrometer, height stand, surface plate, thread and plug gauges, hardness tester, optical comparator, gauge blocks and plating thickness gauge and others. Recommend new or improved inspection equipment and more efficient and economical inspection methods. Perform receiving inspection, first piece, final product, assembly inspections and test witnessing. Maintain work area neat and orderly. Observe all health and safety requirements. Perform other similar and related duties as assigned. What We Offer:

Requirements

Associate's Degree or equivalent technical school training or relative work experience. 4-5 years' Inspection experience preferred. Attention to detail. Excellent organization and analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Problem solver and ability to take initiative. Ability to work in a team environment. Related Military Job Codes:
