We're seeking a highly experienced, detail-oriented, and results-driven Senior Solar & Power Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team in Fremont, California, US. In this key role, you'll learn, analyze, and lead the optimization of complex energy systems, with a strong focus on renewable and efficient technologies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of energy principles, a proven track record in project execution, and a passion for advancing sustainable energy initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and engineering of advanced energy systems, including power conversion technologies and battery storage for solar power plants. Evaluate new energy technologies and recommend their integration into current and future projects. Perform technical trade studies and cost analysis of different design solutions. Perform system architecture design, including functional block diagrams and interface definitions. Perform system modeling and simulation to optimize performance, efficiency, and reliability. Develop and manage system level requirements and specifications to track product/customer requirements through actual implementation. Be the overall system engineering technical decider and reviewer. Review individual contributors' work, provide feedback, guidance and manage priorities. Work with other teams to ensure smooth project execution, on-time delivery, and budget control. Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, codes, and environmental regulations. Prepare detailed technical reports, presentations, and documentation for stakeholders. Support commissioning and troubleshooting of energy systems during installation and operation. Required Qualifications

BS/MS/PhD in in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or equivalent. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in energy systems design, or management. Proven expertise in the following areas: solar PV, battery energy storage systems, smart grids, or energy efficiency. Proficiency with energy modeling software (e.g., PVsyst, HOMER, ETAP, MATLAB/Simulink). Experience with the full product lifecycle, from requirement definition to design, production, and field management. Experience operating in a multi-disciplinary and multi-functional environment Experience performing trade studies and lifecycle cost analysis. Strong understanding of power electronics, grid interconnection requirements, and control systems. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to lead projects, manage priorities, and work effectively in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications

Experience with specific regulatory bodies or grid codes (e.g., CAISO, FERC). Familiarity with financial modeling for energy projects. Experience with SCADA systems and industrial controls. Experience with energy storage integration and control strategies. Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for energy systems FMEA, root cause analysis, investigation of service anomalies.

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The annual salary range for this position is 190,000.00 to 210,000.00
