Overview
The organization is seeking an experienced
Application Developer
to support critical IT services, including helpdesk operations, network and system administration, and enterprise application support. This role ensures that employees have reliable technology and seamless IT solutions, enabling them to focus on core mission objectives.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the full application lifecycle-design, documentation, development, testing, implementation, and ongoing support of applications-while ensuring optimal performance, functionality, and security of IT systems.
Key Responsibilities
Design, document, develop, modify, test, install, and implement new or existing applications software.
Analyze and refine system requirements and translate them into application prototypes.
Plan and design system architecture, user interfaces, and output formats.
Write, debug, and maintain high-quality code.
Collaborate with stakeholders to test and validate applications.
Ensure software and systems meet quality, security, and functional standards.
Integrate hardware and software components effectively.
Maintain comprehensive program documentation.
Evaluate new application software technologies to enhance performance and functionality.
Apply information security and assurance policies, principles, and best practices in application development.
Provide project briefs and technical updates to senior executives as required.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of
5 years of experience
in application design and development at the Senior Programmer level.
Bachelor's degree or higher in an IT-related field.
Proficiency in developing complex applications using
.NET ,
C# ,
MS SQL ,
jQuery ,
SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) ,
AJAX controls (e.g., Telerik) , and
Team Foundation Server .
Strong knowledge of
MVC frameworks
and emerging trends in application architecture.
Experience managing the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through unit testing and system documentation.
Experience working in an
Agile development environment .
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to prepare and deliver technical project briefs to senior executives.
