Overview
As an ePlus Network Engineer/Consultant, you will be responsible for designing and implementing single and multi-vendor networking solutions. You will have the opportunity to work within an industry-leading professional services team to understand our clients' needs and deploy the IT systems to meet those business outcomes.
YOUR IMPACT
A Consultant will be responsible for implementing network IT solutions including installation, upgrades and reconfigurations to our client's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), datacenters and cloud infrastructures.
The essential functions of this position include:
Provide deployment and implementation services of multi-vendor solutions Stay current with vendor offerings and technology Ability to assess customer environment and make recommendations Ability to troubleshoot multi-vendor issues Provide written documentation including configurations, procedures and diagrams Serve the customer to ePlus' standards Be available to meet the customers IT needs Be an escalation point for peer engineers and escalate issues to other team members as needed Be available as a resource to pre-sales to guide and validate jobs Working towards achieving multiple advanced manufacturer specific advanced certifications. i.e.: CCNP, CCIE QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent customer service skills on video conference and in person Professional demeanor Must be fully knowledgeable and able to design and plan, implement and support IT solutions using two or more of the following technologies: Networking (routing and switching)
Cisco Catalyst and Nexus Meraki, Aruba, Extreme, Arista Catalyst Center (formally DNAC) and ISE would be a plus
WiFi
Cisco, Meraki, Aruba Mist
Firewall/ Security
Cisco ISR and Firepower Meraki, Fortinet, Palo Alto
7+ years of hands-on experience in IT Multiple Industry recognized Certifications. i.e.: CCNA, CCNP, PSE, ACE Ability to travel to customer locations, primarily in New England region Bachelor's Degree preferred
POSITION SPECIFICS
The initial base salary range for this position is expected to be between $90,000 and $125,000 annually. The final base salary offered will be determined by multiple factors, including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, depth of experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, our compensation structure may include other elements, including commissions and discretionary bonuses.
