Description of Duties:
The
Model Based System Engineer (MBSE) Architect
supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. Our team designs and develops Enterprise IT and Mission Operations Technology solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to provide high impact, creative solutions to complex technical problems, the ability to work as part of a large team, and the ability to provide critical support and independent review of the work of teammates.
The MBSE Architect will create and manage digital representations of complex systems using modeling languages like SysML. The MBSE Architect leads the adoption and implementation of MBSE practices within projects, ensuring models effectively support design, analysis, and decision-making.
Position responsibilities:

Work collaboratively with a multi-discipline team to decompose cybersecurity system requirements into functional and logical architecture and allocate logical architecture to physical implementation.
·
Create and maintain system models, ensuring they are accurate, compliant with standards, and effectively used for various engineering tasks.
·
Capture system requirements traceability within the system architecture model, linking them to architectural and design artifacts
·
Apply model-based system engineering (MBSE) methodology to develop system architectural views using Systems Modeling Language (SysML)
·
Utilize the system architecture model in support of systems engineering milestone reviews such as SRR, SDR, PDR, CDR, etc.
·
Use state machine modeling and analysis to demonstrate dynamic system behavior, accurate state transitions, and impact of design decisions
·
Integrate MBSE with other digital engineering activities, such as configuration management and simulation
·
Review and translate Customer reference architecture model to internal architecture model.
·
Provide input to continuously improve MBSE training, processes, and tools
·
Mentor systems engineers in MBSE processes and tools
·
Foster strong customer relationships

Have strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively influence diverse audiences on digital concepts and technologies, from business leaders to technologists
