About the Role: Lease Crutcher Lewis is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to play a key role in supporting and enhancing our core business systems and data-driven decision-making capabilities. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders to optimize systems, deliver insightful reporting, and lead a variety of IT projects. The ideal candidate blends strong technical acumen with a deep understanding of business processes and a passion for data.
You'll be instrumental in ensuring the reliability and effectiveness of our primary business systems, including construction project management and accounting platforms. You'll play a key role in shaping how the company manages and leverages its data by helping to design and enhance our data warehouse architecture, streamline data pipelines, and deliver high-impact analytics solutions that empower teams to make informed, strategic decisions.
Position Summary:
The Senior Business Systems Analyst role will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and IT, ensuring that core business systems such as the construction project management and accounting platforms effectively support daily operations and evolving organizational needs. The role focuses on improving system usability and performance to support operational excellence.
The position also shares responsibility for developing and analyzing business intelligence solutions. This includes querying and transforming data from various sources to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and usability of BI solutions and curated data sets. Will involve managing complex relational data models, creating reports and dashboards, and communicating results with management and stakeholders. This role also partners with internal customers to define and prioritize reporting needs and works together with IT team members and customers to design, build, and continuously improve BI tools and data solutions, including self-serve solutions.
This position may be assigned as the primary support for some systems and the backup support for others. Will be expected to provide day-to-day support, manage upgrades, and assist with implementations. May be assigned to run any size IT project and might anticipate spending around half of their time on projects.
Will be expected to back up other IT staff in helping with immediate customer needs either to cover temporary vacancies or to help with times of high-volume work.
While the role has no formal reports, it may provide day-to-day work management and prioritization to other IT staff in support roles as directed.
Primary Functions and Essential Responsibilities: Manages IT projects of all sizes to deploy or upgrade business software (30%) Manages projects to scope, schedule, and budget. Works with business users to understand and document requirements. May direct the work of other staff on assigned projects. Assists business users with system evaluation and selection. Assists with implementation and configuration of systems and upgrades. Develops and maintains test scripts and oversees testing. Helps develop training materials and deliver training. Tests interfaces as needed. Measures and documents actual cost and time savings of new technology implementations. Develops necessary documentation, support, and training for formal hand-off of support to service desk staff. Designs, builds, and maintains dashboards and reports, primarily using tools like Power BI or similar platforms. Ensures data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across reporting solutions. Partners with data owners to understand source systems, data definitions, and business context. Helps establish and maintain data governance standards and best practices. Supports ad hoc data analysis for leadership, operations, and project teams. Works closely with other analysts and IT staff to deliver accessible, well-structured data that empowers teams throughout the business to perform self-service reporting and analysis in support of strategic business initiatives. Primary Functions and Essential Responsibilities: Provides day-to-day support for assigned systems (25%)
Provides day-to-day troubleshooting. Performs or assists with vendor management. Manages application and data security per documented standards. Performs administrative functions related to assigned construction technology tools, such as Procore, Bluebeam, Viewpoint Spectrum and other systems as assigned. Monitors and communicates product updates and collaborates with internal stakeholders to determine when action is needed. Collaborate with internal business unit customers and their Executive teams to help design, document, maintain and improve related business processes, governance documentation and reference materials. Assists with ongoing user support, communication and training efforts. Primary Functions and Essential Responsibilities: Supports other IT initiatives and needs (15%)
Maintains a positive relationship with all staff to ensure excellent inside and outside customer service. Works in a coordinated manner with service desk and networking functions. As a member of the larger IT team, covers other duties when necessary to ensure that the most critical work is done. Will be assigned to a specific Lease Crutcher Lewis office, but works across all Lewis offices as required, bills time appropriately, and collaborates with other IT staff in all offices. Works to have a good understanding of the daily routines and critical functions performed by people who use the systems that they support. Skills, Knowledge, Qualification and Experience:
A college degree or coursework in information technology, information services, management information systems, or related field and seven years of work in technology in a job related to the above duties or any combination of the above sufficient to perform the duties. Demonstrated ability to manage large IT projects and systems is required. IT Project Management or scrum master certification and ITIL Version 4 certification or similar credentials preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. Proven ability to work independently and prioritize competing demands and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and organizational levels. Experience with business intelligence tools (preferably Power BI), including data modeling and visualization. Proficiency with SQL and working knowledge of relational databases. Low-code application development is a plus. Familiarity with cloud data warehousing solutions and modern architecture concepts. Understanding of Agile project management methodology. Experience leading or mentoring junior analysts is a plus. Demonstrated ability to meet timelines, milestones, and deliverables in a timely and organized manner. Proactive, flexible, and resourceful, with a strong customer service mindset. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of tools.
Compensation Range: $105K-$150K
