De La Salle North Catholic High School provides a faith-based, college-preparatory high school education to underserved students from the Portland area. Our goal is to develop tomorrow's community leaders by making high-quality education accessible to motivated young people in a learning environment that values cultural, spiritual, and ethnic diversity. Our educational approach provides each student with the opportunity to succeed through small classes, high expectations, and active participation in our Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP) affiliated with the nationally-recognized Cristo Rey Network.

POSITION SUMMARY

As a member of the Corporate Work Study (CWS) team, this role provides critical support in the daily operations of the program, ensuring smooth coordination between students, corporate partners, and school staff. The position involves managing logistics such as transportation and payroll processing, as well as offering direct guidance to students to help them succeed in their workplace assignments. This individual plays a vital role in maintaining student safety, tracking attendance, and facilitating communication with families and employers. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and committed to supporting students as they navigate both academic and professional responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Student Support Facilitate daily student check-ins to ensure readiness for the workday. Communicate transportation plans clearly to students and families. Coach students on workplace expectations, professionalism, and problem-solving. Conduct one-on-one check-ins at school or work sites to monitor student progress and address any workplace concerns. Coordinate response to student illness or emergencies during work hours. Follow up on student absences and assist with scheduling make-up days Corporate Partner Engagement

Meet with corporate partners at least twice annually to review student performance. Collaborate with worksite supervisors to resolve issues and uphold school and program policies. Logistics & Program Operations

Assist with developing and updating daily transportation schedules; log attendance and travel data. Help plan and execute special CWS events and activities. Process employment paperwork for student workers Track and log student payroll information; communicate with the accounting office to ensure accurate paycheck processing. General Support

Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of CWS and its participants. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., education, social work, business, or nonprofit management). Experience working with high school-aged students, preferably in an educational or youth development setting. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record (regular local travel required). Knowledge of the Portland Metro area, particularly local business and nonprofit communities. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Openness to taking part in professional development and mission formation activities sponsored by the Lasallian District and the Cristo Rey Network. Ability to exercise leadership skills while engaging in collaborative, team-based work; high capacity to inspire cooperation and work well with teams. Strong technical skills - MS Office, G Suite, data entry, and reporting. Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build trust and maintain relationships with students, families, colleagues, and corporate partners. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Problem-solving mindset, with flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school and work environment. Discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality where appropriate.

ANNUAL SALARY AND BENEFITS

Salary DOE. Generous benefits package includes: 10 days paid vacation, 2 weeks paid sick time, paid holidays, medical/dental/vision insurance with a shared premium cost, employer-paid life insurance and long-term disability insurance, and employee-paid voluntary insurance plans, and a 403(b) retirement savings plan with employer match.
