WIRE HARNESS TECHNICIAN (STARLINK AVIATION)

As a Starlink Aviation Harness Technician, you will be responsible for fabrication of a variety of harnessing products for Starlink Aviation. You will work closely with Starlink Aviation production and design engineering teams to deliver high-quality harness products to bring state-of-the-art connectivity to the global Starlink Aviation fleet. SpaceX is looking to connect a wide variety of customers all around the world - in this role, you will be directly involved and hands-on with accomplishing this mission!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Fabricate and assemble high quality and reliable wire harness and electro-mechanical assemblies

Self-monitor work progress against area benchmarks, and achieve on-time delivery of all work

Read, interpret, and work from drawings and controlled documentation and processes

Record work performed using shop floor management system (ERP)

Perform verification of flight hardware, and document results in a clear, precise, and complete manner

Assist with the development of production processes for first-time production runs

Assist with area efficiency improvement projects

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalency certificate

1+ years of experience using mechanical hand tools and/or electrical assembly equipment

1+ years of executing mechanical or electrical build instructions

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Experience building harnessing in industrial or aerospace applications

IPC-620-A certification

Associate degree

Experience in a fast-paced production environment with flight hardware

Experience in a high production environment with hands-on experience fabricating harnesses, electro-mechanical assemblies, or prototype development

Able to adapt to constant changing work assignments

Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills

Excellent concentration and attention to detail with outstanding work efficiency and accuracy

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to work all shifts and available for overtime and weekends as needed

Standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching are generally required to perform the functions of this position

Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted

Ability to distinguish colors

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay range:

Avionics Harness Technician/Level 1: $22.00 - $26.50/hour

Avionics Harness Technician/Level 2: $25.00 - $31.00/hour

Avionics Harness Technician/Level 3: $29.00 - $37.00/hour

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. Company shuttles are offered to employees for roundtrip travel from select Seattle locations to the SpaceX Redmond office Monday to Friday.
