Position Overview
Electro-Mechanical Technician Vitrek LLC Lockport, IL 60441
What You'll Do:
• Solder SMT and/or through hole components to boards. • Perform basic and/or advanced, standardized and repetitive electro-mechanical assembly including box builds. • Perform Wire/Cable/Harness assembly. • Inspect Electrical and/or Mechanical assemblies, Chassis, Cables, Harnesses for defects. • May perform routine tasks in preparation for assembly such as cutting wire, stripping, wiring and fastening connections, pulling kits. • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
What You'll Need:
• Ability to solder and/or rework fine pitch SMT parts under magnification. • Must be able to read and understand work instructions, schematics, bills of material, diagrams, and engineering change orders. • Must be mechanically inclined and able to use hand tools and small power tools. • Ability to work OT on an as-needed basis to meet company goals. • Strong attention to detail. • Ability to follow verbal instructions as well as written procedures. • Must possess solid judgement and decision-making skills. • Must be well organized and be able to multitask. • Ability to communicate professionally both orally and in written form. • Ability to work well with others and must be a conscientious and cooperative team player. • Ability to meet quality expectations and follow safety guidelines.
What You'll Bring:
• High school diploma, GED, and/or technical diploma, and 3+ years' equivalent assembly experience, and/or military technical training. Physical Requirements:
• Ability to do repetitive operations. • Excellent eye-hand coordination. • Excellent manual dexterity. • Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 40 lbs.; ability to stand for long periods.
