How You'll Make an Impact Reverse engineer and enhance mathematical models for power market simulations Design and implement new features across a diverse tech stack Write clean, efficient, and scalable code to solve real-world challenges Develop and execute unit tests to ensure software quality Collaborate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing Support technical research and customer-focused problem solving Participate in Agile development cycles and continuous improvement Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines Your Background

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative field 3-5 years of industry experience coding in C# (preferred) or C, C++, Python, MATLAB Strong analytical skills and ability to reverse engineer complex logic Familiarity with mathematical modeling, optimization, and solvers like Gurobi or CPLEX Experience working in Agile development environments is a plus Exposure to power systems or energy market software is a bonus Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States More About Us We pride ourselves on offering a holistic range of competitive benefits to support your financial, physical and mental wellbeing and personal development.
