Description Leidos is looking for an experienced

Senior Network Engineer

to become a key member of our Defense Enclave Services (DES) team. POSITION SUMMARY: This is a fantastic opportunity to leverage your technical expertise and leadership skills to effectively execute the migration of Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) resources to the Department of Defense's Fourth Estate (DoD 4th Estate) agencies within a Common Use IT infrastructure. The Leidos team will provide superior Network Infrastructure services, facilitating the transition, infrastructure management, cybersecurity services, and enhancements for a Single Service Provider (SSP) network environment that serves all 4th Estate users. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: Must hold an active Secret security clearance prior to start and be eligible for a Top Secret clearance. (U.S. Citizenship required) PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in network design, integration, security, and implementation of Network Services for DISA DoDNet. Possess extensive knowledge of network engineering and operations, including the implementation and transition of large scale enterprise network solutions. Perform advanced maintenance on network devices such as routers, switches, and security solutions. Manage and mentor a team of 5+ direct reports. Collaborate with Network Domain Architects to: Create and enforce STIG compliant configuration baselines, versioning, and compliance tracking. Assess Automation effectiveness and spot best practice opportunities. Develop SOPs/TTPs for continuous service improvements (CSI). Enhance system performance through tuning and operational adjustments. Generate and update Engineering Implementation Plans (EIP). Analyze network bandwidth requirements and propose appropriate solutions. Uphold a strong understanding of defense-in-depth standards, network architecture, and overall security elements. Coordinate network upgrades and maintenance with various stakeholders including Delivery Operations Managers and NOC Lead. Act as the senior Tier III escalation support engineer during Incident Management activities. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, analyses, and reports. Engage in Root Cause Analysis as part of Problem Management efforts. Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and mission-driven environment. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree with 15+ years of relevant experience; years of experience may substitute for the degree. Must possess a DoD IAT level II baseline certification (Sec+). Have advanced/vendor certifications (Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Palo Alto). 10+ years of experience in network engineering with in-depth knowledge of routing and switching, including MPLS, VPNs, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, Spanning Tree Protocol, VLANs, LLDP, VoIP, and emerging technologies. Strong understanding of IP network/subnet addressing. Proficient in presenting technical concepts to senior management and stakeholders. Experience executing circuit cutovers in the DISA environment. Familiarity with ITIL framework. Willingness to travel up to 25%, including potential OCONUS travel. Able to work off-hours as needed to fulfill mission support requirements. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Prior experience with engineering and operational services on DISA-supported networks. Proficiency with Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager (CPPM) identity management solution. Experience with NET/SEC DevOps methodologies. ITIL v3/v4 certification or training. Agile certifications or applicable experience. Active CISSP or CCIE certification. Pay Range: Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00 Please note that the salary is a general guideline only and does not guarantee compensation.
