Baptist Health Urgent Care is in search of a dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic healthcare team. ABOUT BAPTIST HEALTH URGENT CARE: Baptist Health Urgent Care operates 23 locations in Arkansas and is affiliated with Urgent Team, one of the largest operators of urgent and family care centers in the Southeast. We provide accessible and affordable family healthcare, offering a range of services including treatment for injuries, illnesses, occupational health, and wellness care. Our centers are open seven days a week: Mon. - Fri., 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sat. 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sun. 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. All facilities hold the Accredited Care Center designation from the Urgent Care Association, showcasing our commitment to safety, quality, and service excellence. JOB SUMMARY: As a Nurse Practitioner at Baptist Health Urgent Care, you will provide exceptional medical care to patients of all ages suffering from a variety of acute and chronic conditions. You'll work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to diagnose, treat, and educate patients while upholding the highest standards of care. Full-time providers enjoy a rotating 36-40 hour/week schedule, including 12-hour weekday shifts and every-other weekend. As a PRN provider, your schedule will be flexible and based on the needs of the center. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The following duties outline the expectations of this position but are not exhaustive. Additional duties may be assigned. Deliver exceptional customer service to patients and colleagues. Provide friendly, patient-centered care to all individuals seeking healthcare services. Lead and assist during emergencies, offering comfort and support to patients. Adapt to varying fast-paced, high-stress environments, including long hours and frequent contact with others. Conduct medical assessments, treatments, and follow-ups for clinic patients, including primary care, urgent care, occupational health, DOT physicals, and workers' compensation. Perform medical procedures such as laceration repairs, nail removals, pap tests, injections, splinting, and incision and drainage for abscesses. Establish and monitor appropriate care levels for clinic patients. Oversee onsite laboratory, x-rays, injections, and collections for direct access services, if applicable. Maintain clinical competency and stay updated on best practices. Collaborate with center leadership and staff to ensure operations align with medical policy and professional standards. Contribute to the development and revision of policies that affect medical practice and quality of care. Participate in ongoing education for physicians, nurses, and other personnel. Suggest improvements for new and existing services at the center. Ensure compliance with licensing and accrediting bodies. Participate in the development of educational programs for staff. Represent the company and clinic at internal and external meetings or events as needed. Provide guidance to medical staff to ensure high-quality professional services and patient satisfaction. WHAT'S REQUIRED? We welcome both new and experienced graduates. The following are essential qualifications: State License as an APRN. Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner through AANP or ANCC. DEA license or willingness to obtain upon hire. DOT certification or willingness to obtain upon hire. BLS certification.
