Shift:
Days with On-Call Rotation (2 nights/week and 6 weekends during 13-week period) 🔑 Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Utilize nursing process and critical thinking in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to provide patient care
Perform assessments, planning, interventions, and evaluation of patient care
Administer medications and treatments as per nursing standards, policies, and state laws
Ensure accurate, comprehensive documentation per system and entity standards
Develop and execute individualized patient care plans prescribed by physicians/hospital policy
Provide patient and family education using available resources
Participate in departmental performance improvement and shared governance
Support clinical expertise across units, resolve system breakdowns, and provide solutions
Manage complex patient safety situations, delegate appropriately, and escalate issues as needed
Positively impact professional and organizational environment
Engage in continuous learning and professional development, including evidence-based practice guidelines
Support peer review and feedback processes
Maintain patient flow and perform telephone triage in clinic/ambulatory settings as applicable
📋 Certifications & Licensure Required:
Current
Illinois RN License
(IDFPR) Current
CPR, ACLS, and PALS
certifications
Must
pass EKG test prior to orientation completion
National Institute Healthcare Stroke Scale ( NIHSS ) certification
