Job Title: Sr. Java Developer
Location: Birmingham, AL
(Hybrid 3 days onsite) Duration: 6 month contract to hire (Long Term) Experience: 8+ Year
Responsibility: • Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performing Java applications • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code • Develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot • Collaborate with Product Owners, QA, and other developers in an Agile environment • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural decisions • Mentor junior developers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in production and development environments • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies
Required Skill: • 5+ years of hands-on Java development experience • Experience with the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, MVC, Security) • Skilled in writing clean, maintainable, and testable code • Comfortable with tools like Git, Docker, Jenkins, Maven, and Kubernetes • Solid understanding of RESTful API design, databases, and microservices • Naturally collaborative-able to explain complex ideas clearly and listen well • Reliable, proactive, and invested in team success, not just individual contribution • genuinely pleasant person to work with-kind, approachable, and grounded
