Job Description:
GridIron IT is looking for a MECM Systems Administrator local to Washington, DC. The Systems Administrator will be responsible for administering and supporting Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), AdminStudio, and related automation scripting tasks. This role will involve deploying, managing, and maintaining software and patches, troubleshooting endpoint issues, and automating routine administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of MECM, application packaging, and script development to improve IT operations and ensure efficient endpoint management. This work is located onsite in the DC area.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the management and administration of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) for software deployment, patch management, operating system deployment (OSD), and endpoint configuration. Troubleshoot and resolve MECM client issues, deployment failures, and ensure client health. Develop and deploy software packages, updates, and patches through MECM to ensure endpoints are up-to-date and secure. Monitor and maintain MECM infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, efficiency, and reliability. Assist in the use of AdminStudio for application packaging, testing, and deployment. Work with development and application teams to package software for deployment and ensure compatibility across different systems and environments. Ensure that application packages are properly tested, deployed, and maintained through AdminStudio. Write, test, and maintain PowerShell, Batch, or VBScript scripts to automate repetitive tasks such as software installation, system configuration, and patch management. Improve system administration workflows by automating routine administrative tasks, reducing manual interventions, and increasing operational efficiency. Develop and maintain scripts for deployment automation, reporting, and system health checks. Work closely with IT security teams to ensure endpoints are fully patched and compliant with security standards. Monitor endpoint configurations and work with teams to remediate security issues and vulnerabilities. Ensure endpoint systems are configured for security and efficiency, with proper controls in place to prevent unauthorized access or software. Provide tier 2 and tier 3 support for endpoint issues related to MECM, AdminStudio, and other systems. Assist with diagnosing and resolving endpoint performance issues, deployment failures, and software conflicts. Respond to escalations and work with other IT teams to address and resolve issues promptly. Maintain detailed documentation for MECM configurations, application packaging processes, and scripting solutions. Provide regular status reports on endpoint management activities, including software deployments, patching, and system health.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). 2-4 years of experience in system administration, with a focus on Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) and AdminStudio. Experience with PowerShell, Batch scripting, or other automation scripting languages. Hands-on experience with patch management, software deployment, and system configuration. Familiarity with Active Directory and Group Policy management. Knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) for software deployment, operating system imaging, and patch management. Experience with AdminStudio for application packaging, deployment, and testing. Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Batch, and VBScript. Familiarity with Windows Server and Windows OS configuration and management. Understanding of endpoint security, including the use of encryption and antivirus software. Strong ability to diagnose and resolve system and application issues, particularly related to endpoint management and deployments. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with MECM deployments, software conflicts, and endpoint health. Strong written and verbal communication skills to document processes and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work with different teams to ensure proper configurations and smooth deployments. Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Detail-oriented and methodical, with a strong focus on quality and accuracy in work.

Certifications:
Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or other relevant Microsoft certifications. AdminStudio Certification or similar packaging tool certifications. ITIL Foundation or other IT service management certifications.
Knowledge of SQL for querying databases and generating reports related to endpoint management. Experience with endpoint management tools like SCCM, Intune, or similar.

$110,000.00 - $140,150.00 (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.) Benefits:
