Title: Abinitio Developer Location: Remote Duration: 6 Months

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ETL development using Ab Initio, data warehousing concepts, and experience in handling large volumes of healthcare data. You will work closely with business analysts, data architects, and QA teams to design and deliver scalable and high-performance data solutions.

Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using Ab Initio suite (GDE, EME, Co> Operating System). Develop graphs and conduct performance tuning and optimization of Ab Initio processes. Work with data mapping specifications and translate them into technical ETL design. Participate in all phases of the SDLC - including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Analysts, Architects, QA Engineers, and Project Managers. Create and maintain technical documentation including job flows, data lineage, and transformation logic. Handle error handling, recovery, and alert mechanisms for ETL jobs. Troubleshoot and resolve data quality and performance issues in production and test environments. Understand and work with HIPAA regulations and healthcare data formats (e.g., 834, 837, EDI).

Required Qualifications: 5+ years of hands-on experience in Ab Initio development (GDE, EME, PDL, Plans, Conduct> It). Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL methodologies, and data modeling. Experience with healthcare payer systems or BCBS systems preferred. Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with Oracle, Teradata, or DB2. Ability to analyze and debug complex Ab Initio graphs and performance bottlenecks. Familiarity with UNIX/Linux shell scripting. Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodology.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Metadata Hub, Ab Initio Express> It, or Query> It. Experience working in a BCBS environment or other healthcare payer organizations. Understanding of EDI formats (837, 834) and Medicaid/Medicare data.
