Summary:

The Business Analyst, Mortgage is responsible for analyzing business requirements and processes within the mortgage domain and translating them into functional specifications for technology solutions. This role serves as a liaison between business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to ensure clear communication and alignment throughout the software development lifecycle. The Business Analyst conducts detailed process analysis, gathers and documents requirements, and supports the successful implementation of mortgage-related applications and enhancements. A strong understanding of mortgage operations and regulatory requirements is essential to effectively support business objectives and technology.

Essential Job Functions: Partners with business units and teams to understand business problems and business processes to drive solutions Analyzes business requirements and processes Creates and maintains documentation that includes the design and requirements Understanding of solutions, what needs to be developed Sharing the requirement for the solutions with business Putting high level requirements and breaking down in details wherever it's required Some aspect of design considerations that need to be captured for development team, who can be able to connect with it Flow diagram (Visio, lucid chard etc.) to be included so that business can understand the solutions Should be able to support team in testing and write test cases Putting user stories in JIRA Nonfunctional requirements - compliance and security, access, controls Should be a critical thinker and can add value in process improvement Experience in financial or Mtg. industry would be added advantage however not necessary Knowledge of SQL would be added advantage however not necessary Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Performs work under minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of business structures.

Mortgage knowledge a plus.

Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and Outlook.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to build collaborative relationships.

Leadership skills.

Requires advanced knowledge of job area obtained through advanced education and experience. Practical knowledge of project management.

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent work experience. Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience as Business Analyst Candidate needs to have hands on experience with requirement gathering This open position doesn't require any management role, however management skill will be an advantage Deep understanding of applications Understanding what needs to be done to meet business/ client needs Basis the understanding, BA should be able to write the requirements Analysis skills to share view about the product or solutions Design aspects from data base or solutions perspective Suggesting the solutions which can be implemented and recommending testing required (e.g., penetrating testing, performance... etc.) Should be able to see big picture and the interconnections between different aspects of a problem or situation BA to support QA in case required Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Problems are typically solved through drawing from prior experience and analysis of issues.
