Job Title: Data Center Technician
Job Location: Tulsa, OK, 74117
Job Duration: 6 Months Contract to hire
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8pm to 4:30am is the primary shift. After training there might be flexibility if they are open to working Saturday and/or Sunday.
Shift: Night Shift (8 PM to 5 PM CST)
Basic office skills (MS Office, email, MS Teams, etc) Willing to do shift work Ability to lift at least 50 lbs Some level experience in a data center environment Cabling Cat 6 Multi-mode fiber Single-mode fiber Installation and use of structured cabling Patching Experience with server and network hardware Dell HPE IBM Cisco Aruba Palo Alto They need to have basic understanding of hardware such as physical installation, upgrading internal components, basic troubleshooting, etc. How to configure the out-of-badge interfaces on the hardware (ie. ILO, iDRAC, connecting to a serial console) Understanding of carrier circuits and working with Telcos and circuit cross-connects Media management is a plus (tape rotations and offsiting with a provider like Iron Mountain) Dont need to be facility experts. But a basic understanding of data center layouts (hot/cold aisle), power infrastructure, cooling, and physical security. Understanding of basic change and incident management and tools (ServiceNow, Client Service Manager)
