Job Summary
We are seeking an
Application Engineer
to play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the competitiveness of Tetra Pak's heat exchanger technology, with a focus on the
U.S. and Canadian markets . This position is office based in
Vernon Hills, Illinois , and will involve close collaboration with customers and internal teams to support our current and future product portfolio. You can expect to travel up to
25% of the time
to customer sites across the region.
What you will do
As an Application Engineer you will:
Deliver both sales and technical support to customers, sales partners, and internal teams. Communicate directly with customers, sales channels, and engineering departments to assess and understand technical requirements. Interpret and explain liquid food processing applications in relation to heat exchanger technologies. Conduct testing of various liquid food products to evaluate viscosity and other physical characteristics. Design and engineer heat exchangers using proprietary Tetra Pak software tools. Develop and present technical proposals to end users and sales representatives. Oversee equipment documentation and manage order processing workflows. We believe you have
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Strong verbal and written communication skills Experience or knowledge in business development is a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Fluency in English is required
Additional language skills in Spanish, Portuguese, and/or French are considered an asset
Pay Equity
Tetra Pak provides the following compensation range that in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.
Ranges are determined by role, level and location. Within the range, individual pay is defined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule. The estimate displayed is just one component of Tetra Pak's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include overtime, annual performance bonus, competitive benefits, and work-related allowances.
Annual Base Salary Range (ABS): $70,100.00- $90, 000.00.
Short-term Incentive/Bonus (Variable Pay): Eligible to performance incentive of 10% of ABS.
