Amazon Web Services is on the lookout for exceptional technical talent to enhance our team focused on expanding our Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) Container and Serverless solutions for government clients. As part of our team, you'll focus on: Identifying strategies to enhance operations and develop innovative solutions for complex cloud challenges at scale. Proactively addressing system variances that affect critical services worldwide. Investigating service interdependencies and configurations to identify root causes and improve service efficiency. Collaborating with your peers to optimize the maintenance of advanced cloud infrastructure. Learning from industry-leading Amazon distinguished engineers. A typical day in this role includes contributing to internal service team development to boost system health and operational efficiency, as well as responding to intricate technical issues faced by our customers. As a valuable member of the Amazon Dedicated Cloud community, you may also provide on-call support across Serverless technology stacks. The team emphasizes the growth and delivery of the Elastic Kubernetes Service and the Elastic Container Registry. We prioritize a high-trust culture and agile problem-solving to enhance customer experiences with our in-demand services. Basic Qualifications: 2+ years of professional software development experience (non-internship). 1+ year of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems. Bachelor's degree or Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP). Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby). Current active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with distributed systems at scale. Familiarity with AWS products and services. Experience in an Agile environment using Scrum methodologies. Experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration technologies. Our compensation package reflects the labor costs in various US markets. Salaries for this role range from $116,300 to $201,200 based on location, experience, and skills.
