Job Description
Our client, a national ,manufacturer and distributor of process materials, headquartered in Altanta and with 30 locations nationwide seeks a full time direct hire System / Network Engineer (Partial Remote).
The System & Network Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day management, maintenance, and optimization of the organization's network infrastructure and server environments. You will work closely with both the Network and Systems Engineers providing support, troubleshooting and implementing new deployments. This role ensures the reliability, security, and efficiency of all IT systems, providing technical support and implementing best practices to meet business needs.
Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points). Manage and maintain Voice over IP systems and technologies including call trees, hunt groups, DID's, softphones, etc. Implement and enforce security protocols, including firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems. Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools including but not limited to Microsoft Windows Server, VMware, Microsoft365, EntraID and Azure. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights across systems and networks. Perform regular patch management, maintenance, upgrades, system backups, disaster recovery planning, and data restoration as needed. Monitor network and server performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure high availability and reliability. Monitor, review, maintain and administer all cyber security controls to ensure compliance with various security frameworks. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity problems for end-users and critical infrastructure. Maintain documentation of network and system configurations, procedures, and changes. Provide direct support to internal end users, application development staff as well as Level 2 support to the Service Desk. Qualifications
Strong interpersonal skills; able to adapt instructions and guidance to the skill level of the end user Self-starter, able to work well with a team as well as individually, able to multitask, adjust to changing objectives and priorities Strong attention to detail Two to four years experience with: SDWAN, LAN, WLAN and firewall management and troubleshooting (Meraki a plus). Supporting wireless access points/WLAN's (Aruba Wireless AP's, ClearPass authentication a plus) Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory and other Microsoft technologies Managing cloud technologies such as Azure, EntraID and Microsoft 365. Managing virtualization and data center technologies (vmWare/vSphere experience a plus) VPN/SASE and Internet Filtering (Zscaler ZIA and ZPA a plus) Knowledge of cyber security frameworks (CMMC, NIST-800, PCI, etc) EDR tools such as Carbon Black, Crowd Strike or Sentinel One Interfacing with MSP's Ability to travel up to 10%
