Salado Isolation Mining Contractors, LLC (SIMCO), managing and operating contractor of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is currently seeking a degreed individual to serve as an
Entry-Level Central Characterization Program (CCP) Site Project Manager (SPM)
and join our team located in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will serve as an Entry-Level SPM, as detailed in the WIPP Hazardous Waste Facility Permit (HWFP), for the Central Characterization Program (CCP).
The SPM is responsible for data validation and verification to ensure Transuranic (TRU) waste destined for WIPP meets the requirements of the WIPP Waste Acceptance Criteria (WAC). Additionally, the SPM will be proficient at procedure/document generation and reviews, identification and disposition of non-conformances, scheduling, and performance tracking. The SPM will interface with regulatory agencies including but not limited to the DOE, EPA, and NMED.
Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree or within a collegiate year of degree completion is required.
Experience/Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is mandatory.
Must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in limited circumstances. See DOE Order 472.2 for additional information.
Preferred Requirements
Previous WIPP Project experience is a plus.
