SCOPE OF SERVICES
The Desktop Support and Field Engineer will provide hands-on technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment across both office and field environments. This role combines traditional desktop support with field engineering, requiring strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to work independently, and a customer-service mindset. The ideal candidate is adaptable, solution-oriented, and thrives in dynamic environments.
• Support HERC Field Operations:
o Provide IT Desktop support services to HERRC Sites o Break Fix (laptops, printers, badging solutions, etc) o Field Ops Support o Asset and Inventory Management o Hardware Support and Maintenance (imaging and updates) o All customer requests and incident response o VMS Management • Equipment maintenance • Asset Inventory and warehouse support • Pickup and delivery of hardware
SKILLS/EXPERIENCES • 8 years of work experience providing IT and Desktop Support • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows OS, Office 365, and standard business applications. • Experience with Active Directory, endpoint management, and ticketing systems. • Ability to lift and transport equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in varied field environments. • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to remote or emergency sites as needed.
DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCES • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. • Able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments. • Comfortable working independently and in high-pressure scenarios.
