Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Process Manager to support our mission by optimizing back-office processes and improving execution across the organization. This role is integral to ensuring efficiency and scalability as we deliver on complex renewable energy projects. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, excellent communication skills, process development experience, and problem-solving abilities to support the growth and development of the Vertech organization.

Primary Responsibilities

Process Optimization:

Analyze and re-engineer key business processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness in alignment with the company’s strategic goals.

Identify areas of improvement and implement leading practices to support the development of core business processes like quote to contract, contract to commissioning, and commissioning to end of life.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Act as a central figure to drive process improvements across departments such as project management, finance, operations, supply chain, information technology, and customer support.

Facilitate cross-functional workshops to align goals and streamline operations in a collaborative environment.

Enterprise Systems Expertise:

Leverage advanced knowledge of enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CRM) to integrate and enhance workflows across teams.

Partner with IT and operational teams to identify system improvements that support the execution of complex capital projects.

Interface with HQ colleagues to understand and align enterprise systems and processes between corporate standards and current Vertech solutions.

Project Management:

Lead end-to-end process improvement and root cause analysis projects, creating continuous improvement documentation, and managing follow ups for action item completion.

Manage enterprise system and business process improvement projects, developing project plans, and working with internal and external stakeholders to deliver the goals of the project.

Identify areas of improvement through analysis of leading practices and industry or functional benchmarks, developing KPIs as appropriate to measure progress to plan.

Change Management:

Lead change management activities to support improvements in the organization, including the development of communication plans and documentation.

Provide training and support to teams to ensure successful implementation of recommended changes from process improvement activities.

Key Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Advanced working knowledge of enterprise systems, data integration tools, and their support of business operations. Experience with tools like SAP, Procore, Salesforce, and PowerBI is .

Strong analytical skills to diagnose challenges and identify effective solutions.

Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to drive collaboration across diverse teams.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

5–7 years of experience in business process development, process optimization, management consulting, or operations management.

experience in the renewable energy sector or industries involving large capital project execution, such as construction, infrastructure, or utilities.

Office / Travel

This role is designated as a hybrid role with four (4) days on-site in the Westborough, MA office. Additional in-person time may be required for the completion of special projects or to meet overall business objectives.

Travel requirements may be up to 10%.
