Swedish Medical Group is seeking an Executive Medical Director of Acute Care Medicine to join the Swedish Edmonds Administration in Edmonds, Washington. This is a vital leadership position that serves as an administrative liaison and partner for the Swedish Edmonds Medical Staff that includes key responsibilities such as: acting as a key partner to the CNO in the oversight of clinical operations, collaborating with department heads to align medical practices with organizational goals, developing and implementing medical management strategies, completing annual performance reviews for the provider service contracts in their area of oversight, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Ideal candidates will have strong skills in leadership, clinical expertise, operational management, strategic development, and communication while also being able to take a proactive approach to service improvement initiatives. 0.5 FTE director/leadership role with no clinical responsibilities
Must be a licensed Physician or Advanced Practice Clinician in the state of Washington with multiple years of demonstrated leadership experience
Swedish Medical Center medical staff member in good standing
Active Board Certification in relevant Specialty
Active DEA Registration
Must have Participating Provider (PAR) status with Medicare, Medicaid and applicable government programs
Display proven skills in program and project management in complex, matrixed organizations
Can thrive in demanding team environments while effectively managing groups of healthcare professionals
Be able to contribute to and evolve national best practices in inpatient care delivery with a focus on patient flow
Willing to promote patient-centered approach to quality and process improvement
Can collaborate effectively with others, including surgical services, Providence Clinical Network, and institutes
Adept at balancing responsibilities, developing teammates, and has the ability to grow as a leader while supporting Providence Swedish's commitment to the Quadruple Aim goals such as patient experience, sepsis mortality, hospital readmission, LOS reduction, NTSV rates, and goals of care
Compensation is between $182,000 and $260,000 per year
The compensation amounts listed may include productivity or quality/service incentives, call pay, extra shift incentives, as applicable to the position. In addition, providers may have CME benefits available to them
