Network Engineer within our IT department plays an integral role in providing
on-site and remote
technical support for our Exton site and other locations. This includes Network Configuration, troubleshooting LAN, WAN, vendor management, firewall configuration, software/ patches/hardware installation, and maintenance.
Additional tasks:
Provide End-user user support and ticket management for onsite and remote users.
Configure network hardware such as servers, routers, and switches
Upgrade, repair, and maintain computer networks
Troubleshoot various network issues
Day-to-day network administration, including security and patch management, user account management, Internet access, and applications support
Proactively manage, maintain, and optimize server, network, and firewall systems
Administer and support Core Microsoft, Cisco, and VMWare technologies
Make timely upgrades and repairs to ensure systems are operating optimally
Assign and update user security permissions on the network
Install and configure network hardware and software
Maintain inventory and configuration documentation
Implement and enforce all cyber security policies and procedures
Research and recommend current and future technology resources, purchases, and services to meet the organization's needs as requested. Assist in analyzing design and network models as needed.
What We're Looking For:
We are seeking individuals who have strong communication skills with attention to detail who thrive in fast-paced environments.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with 4 years of experience in
network engineering and administration.
Advanced networking skills in organizing, installing, and supporting an organization's computer network, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), network segments, SD WAN, intranets, and other data communication systems.
Must have experience in
configuring firewalls.
VMWare
or
Windows Server
administration experience preferred.
Significant years of direct network administration work experience and certifications may be considered in lieu of degree.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: CompTia Network +, CompTia Security+, and Cisco CCNA certification preferred.
