QA Inspector - 2nd Shift

Job Description : The Quality Technician is responsible for day-to-day monitoring, testing and documentation of Raw materials, un-finished goods and finished goods at various steps and all departments during production and packaging stages in accordance with Company QMS, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14644, Safe Quality Food (SQF) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
Roles and Responsibilities: Develop, maintain and store inspection reports and Sample retentions for review. Interpret work instructions, product drawings and product requirements. Ensure compliance to federal and state laws, as well as company standards and specifications. Maintain calibration of quality control equipment and perform inspections across all stages of production as per instructions. Perform Airborne Particulate Testing to validate cleanroom air quality. Perform testing on products using X-rite, Ruler, Micrometer, Burst Tester, Seal Strength Tester, Peel Strength Tester, Liquid Particulate Testing, TAPPI Chart and other Quality equipment as per work instruction and product specification. Evaluate data and draft reports, noting any relevant deviations from existing standards. Identify areas for quality control improvement and implement new methods accordingly. Communicate quality or compliance concerns with urgency. Other duties as directed. Educational/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Control. Solid understanding of test equipment like micrometer, seal tester, Lighthouse 3016, LPS tester, X-rite. Strong working knowledge of various mathematical concepts including fractions, ratios, and proportions. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret information.
