Job Title: Dental Assistant

Description:

Join our dedicated team as a Dental Assistant, where you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting the smooth operation of our dental practice. This is a permanent, full-time position offering stability, growth opportunities, and a supportive team environment. You'll work closely with our dentists and hygienists to ensure patients receive compassionate and efficient care, while maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized clinical space in full compliance with dental practice standards.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Key Responsibilities: Provide chairside assistance to dentists and dental hygienists using four-handed dentistry techniques during procedures and exams. Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials to support efficient patient care. Help manage the doctor's schedule to maintain a steady patient flow and minimize wait times. Expose and process diagnostic-quality dental radiographs. Review, verify and document patient medical and dental histories, including medications and vital signs, noting any concerns that may impact treatment. Sterilize instruments and equipment between patients; ensure cleanliness of treatment areas and compliance with infection-control standards. Assist with treatment planning, documentation, billing, and obtaining informed consent for procedures. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care, as directed by the dentist. Apply fluoride treatments and assist with polishing for pediatric patients under age 10. Fabricate temporary restorations and take custom impressions as needed. Perform regular maintenance on dental equipment, including flushing lines and replacing traps. Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs to the lead assistant or manager while avoiding waste. Manage outgoing lab cases, including documentation and tracking delivery timelines. Maintain strict adherence to safety and infection-control protocols to protect patients and staff. Qualifications:

Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is preferred. Texas RDA License and current BLS (CPR) certification required Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant required Preferred: Certifications in nitrous oxide monitoring, coronal polishing (prophy), and sealant application Compensation & Benefits:
