Job Summary:

Sugpiat Defense seeking highly skilled Cybersecurity Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with strong knowledge of Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) Main Operating Bases (MOBs) to support mission-critical cybersecurity operations across the Indo-Pacific region. This role is based in Hawaii and offers the opportunity to work directly with Air Force leadership and cyber units, shaping the cybersecurity posture across the command.

Essential Job Functions:

Cybersecurity Assurance & Compliance Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls per DoDI 8510.01 (RMF) and federal cyber policies. Ensure systems meet compliance requirements, improving overall cyber readiness. Mentorship & Training

Lead

Cyberspace Readiness Review and Mentorship (CRR-M)

efforts at NAF and Wing levels. Provide tailored training (virtual or on-site) and create training documentation for PACAF cyber teams. Operational & Advisory Support

Assist PACAF Wings in preparing for

USCYBERCOM CORA and CCORI missions. Analyze PACAF AOR cyber posture, recommend corrective actions, and brief PACAF leadership. Vulnerability Management

Conduct vulnerability scans using

ACAS/Tenable.sc , recommend patching strategies. Coordinate patching via

SCCM/MECM

and support endpoint security compliance. Maintain and monitor

Plan of Action & Milestones (POAMs)

and report at-risk vulnerabilities. Reporting & Data Management

Track and update data in Air Force and DISA repositories. Compile and present weighted vulnerability scores, compliance updates, and status briefs to leadership. Program & Contract Oversight

Serve as government liaison for managing contract personnel, travel, invoicing, and performance metrics. Monitor and report on labor, events, workload, and programmatic expenses for annual closeout. Required Experience:

2-3 years of experience with:

Executing DoD, USAF CIO, and federal cybersecurity mandates. Advising MAJCOM staff and Wings on cybersecurity strategy and compliance.

3-4 years of experience in:

Network Vulnerability Engineering Working with DoD, AF, DISA, NIST, NIAP, and PACAF-specific cybersecurity policies and tools.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Deep understanding of AF Cyber architecture, PACAF MOBs, and GSUs. Proficiency with:

DISA STIGs, ACAS, SCCM/MECM, and endpoint security tools. Microsoft Office, SharePoint, MS Teams, and VoIP platforms.

Ability to:

Conduct full-scope vulnerability scans. Analyze scan results and present findings to both technical and senior leadership audiences. Maintain scanning credentials and conduct discovery scans for unknown assets. Track and report metrics using tools such as AFNET Compliance Tracker and SIPRNet/NIPRNet environments.

Experience managing:

ACAS/SIPRNet PROD/ELICSAR accounts, vulnerability tools, CTOs, MTOs, and TCNOs.

Strong communication, leadership, critical thinking, and organizational awareness. Minimum Qualifications

Active TS/SCI clearance IAT Level III certification (one of the following): CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH, CCSP Valid U.S. Passport Bachelor's degree in a related field Completed (or willing to complete upon hire):

Level 1 Anti-Terrorism Training DoD Cyber Awareness Challenge Operations Security (OPSEC) Awareness Derivative Classification IF103.16 Force Protection Level A SERE Training (within last 1-2 years) USFK Training
