We are currently seeking an experienced
Accounting Clerk
for a full-time opportunity with a reputable company in the Yucaipa, CA area. The ideal candidate will have at least
2 years of recent experience
in an accounting clerk or related role and thrive in a detail-oriented environment.
Position Summary: The Accounting Clerk will perform a variety of routine and complex accounting tasks including managing accounts receivable and payable, reconciling bank accounts, processing invoices, and assisting with month-end close. This role supports accurate financial record-keeping by following approved accounting procedures and utilizing various systems and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Process billing, collections, and reporting functions Match invoices to internal purchase orders and verify accuracy of pricing and terms Audit and process credit card bills and check requests Prioritize invoices based on discount and payment terms Reconcile vendor/customer statements and resolve discrepancies Monitor accounts for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities Prepare bank deposits and process adjustments Maintain organized and up-to-date files for accounts receivable/payable Maintain customer records using Vantage accounting software and company network Generate and maintain 1099 records and assist with end-of-month closing Compile reports for expenditures, AR/AP, and other accounting functions Perform other accounting duties as assigned Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of recent experience in an Accounting Clerk or similar role High school diploma or equivalent required College coursework in accounting is preferred Prior experience in a
manufacturing environment
is preferred Proficient with accounting software (experience with Vantage a plus) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
