EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE : Bachelors Degree Four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
High School Diplomas and college/university degrees must be obtained from an accredited program or university approved by the United States Department of Education and the Texas Education Agency.
PRIMARY PURPOSE SUMMARY : Assist the Director of Testing in the planning, administration, and interpretation of testing program for NEISD. Help to ensure District compliance with all aspects of the state mandated testing program including, but not limited to, norm-referenced achievement and abilities tests. These duties include the training of District and campus personnel in the administration, interpretation, and use of the data derived from such tests. Assist the Director of Testing with all federal, state, and locally-mandated testing including the following: State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR); Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System (TELPAS); STAAR Interim and the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) for North East Independent School District.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Uses the TEA Calendar of Events (COE) to plan accordingly to meet all state requirements and deadlines to build schedules for state assessments in the Texas Assessment Management System (TAMS): a. Assessment User Account Management b. Uploading student registration files in the Texas Assessment Management System (TAMS) c. Uploading required student demographic, program, and testing information for all NEISD students. d. Flagging all Above Grade Level testers with correct assessments. e. Materials Management through TAMS regarding managing and inventorying all secure materials for STAAR, STAAR Alternate 2 or TELPAS. f. Works with state vendor to resolve discrepancies in assessment data. g. Manipulating campus reports from TAMS for campus administration and Campus Test Coordinators (CTC's)
2. Creates data files that align with the criteria provided by the TEA Student Assessment Division to ensure accuracy of student data that aligns with the state of Texas Accountability standards. 3. Creates all Test Session IDs for Interim, STAAR and TELPAS online testing for campuses. 4. Responsible to ensure demographic, student sub pop and special program data is accurate with the district student information system regarding state and programmatic assessment data. (STAAR, STAAR Interim, National Association of Educational Procurement (NAEP), TELPAS, and any other assessments. 5. Submits a Student Data Retrieval (SDR) file from TAMS for students new to NEISD and uploads all student testing data/records in Skyward weekly. 6. Collaborates with the Management Information Systems (MIS) Department for rostering teachers to students in the Centralized Reporting System (CRS) in the Texas Assessment Management System (TAMS). 7. Works with MIS to pull student registration data from Skyward for all state assessments in TAMS and coordinates uploading student test data into Skyward following dates provided in the TEA Calendar of Events (COE) to ensure accuracy for historical testing information and transcripts. 8. Attends required TEA state training pertaining to STAAR, STAAR Alternate 2, TELPAS, and TELPAS Alternate to meet TEA requirements for state testing. 9. Works with campuses and other departments to ensure accurate testing of students for TELPAS, including updating data, monitoring the TELPAS testing window, verifying LEP status, years in U.S. schools, registering students, and moving students new to the district in the state assessment system. 10.Trains Campus Test Coordinators on the Texas Assessment Management System (TAMS) (STAAR, TELPAS, TELPAS ALT, STAAR Alternate 2, Interim Assessments) regarding accessing student information provided by the state in the online testing platform. 11.Collaborates with Special Programs to determine student registration for TELPAS and STAAR Alternate 2 assessments for materials management. 12.Works with Special Programs to align mapping of accommodations from Samegoal to TestHound for accuracy of accommodations provided for all local and state testing. 13.Collaborates with the Testing Specialist regarding material orders for the STAAR Alternate 2 assessment and Homebound programs including campus deliveries and pick-up of secure materials. 14.Creates the TEA Reports folder in Google for campuses to access all state testing data. 15.Responsible to order and distribute the Texas Tech Credit-by-Exam tests for Hyper-Accelerated math testing. 16.Responsible for communicating any changes/updates to Technology Services regarding program updates with the state online testing platform. 17.Serves as an investigator for the Director regarding suspected violations of test security and confidential integrity as specified within state law. 18.Maintains Confidentiality of information. 19.Reports to work on time every day. 20.Performs additional duties and accepts other responsibilities as may be assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS •Necessary skills to read and interpret test scores in several different formats to include criterion and norm referenced assessments. •Strong knowledge of manipulating and creating excel spreadsheets. •Knowledge of extracting data and submitting data in a vendor developed template •Excellent written and spoken communication skills to train other professional staff in the administration and use of tests. •Ability to work as a vital team member to problem solve with other departments and campus staff as needed. •Must be detail oriented and customer/client focused. •Ability to read, analyze and interpret the most complex documents. •Valid Texas Driver's License with driving record that meets the requirements of the district

The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
