Senior Control Systems Engineer

to come onboard at our Carmel, IN facility.

The

Senior Control Systems Engineer

will work on control automation projects for upgrades and retrofits of legacy automation systems to the latest technology platform across a wide array of industries and applications. The successful candidate will help develop PLC Programs, VFD based applications, and HMI/SCADA control solutions that incorporate new functionality, abate obsolescence, improve efficiency and enhance safety of the involved processes and systems.

Here's What You'll Do: Participate with other engineers in all of the following project development phases:

Involvement with all aspects of a project, from inception to completion. Design, specify, program, supervise fabrication and assembly of, simulate and test required equipment, processes, systems and subsystems. Create project specifications for projects that summarize and detail customer requirements. Interface with customers, project managers, design engineers, fabrication technicians, and sales professionals for successful completion of the project. Field testing and commissioning of projects at customer worksites. Provide training and ongoing support to customer maintenance and engineering personnel. Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, technical competence, and outstanding safety performance.

Requirements

Here's What You'll Need: Must have proven extensive experience in PLC, HMI, and VFD's including legacy and current generations of industrial controls. Strong preference will be shown to candidates having specific experience with any of the following:

PLC's - Process control, interlocking, and fault actions utilizing cyclic and acyclic sequencing. Analog scaling for temperature, pressure, flow, weighing and speed/load control. Communication of peripheral devices and data structure management.

Siemens Step 5, Step 7, and TIA Portal Rockwell Automation / Allen Bradley PLC-5, SLC-500 ControlLogix, and CompactLogix GE PACSystems

HMI's - Detailed screen development, address tag management, and alarming. OPC configuration, scripting functions, recipe control, and tag logging.

Siemens WinCC Comfort, Flexible, SCADA Intellution Fix32, iFix Cimplicity Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk View ME and SE Wonderware Intouch, Archestra Ignition

Variable Frequency Drives - Tuning current, speed, torque, and EMF. Inertial, friction, windage, and other compensation models. Speed or torque controlled applications for various processes (Fans, Pumps, Grinders, Extruders, Winders, etc.). Discrete terminal or communication fieldbus control. Practical knowledge of motor performance and dynamics.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Appropriate field of study and at least 5 years of experience in Industry --- OR --- 10+ years of equivalent experience working with industrial automation control systems
