Develop, design and maintain security products specific to Panera infrastructure. Ensure that Panera’s perimeter and internal networks are properly secured and locked down. The candidate must reside within a 50-mile radius of Fenton, MO, and follow a hybrid work model, with three days per week required in the office. Duties & Responsibilities The primary responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to: Firewall Configuration and Management

Design, implement, and maintain firewall configurations to ensure network security. Monitor network traffic and firewall logs to identify and troubleshoot network connectivity issues.

Policy Development

Develop, document, and enforce firewall policies and access control lists (ACLs) to ensure compliance with organizational security standards. Review and revise security policies in response to evolving business requirements.

Incident Response

Work with Security Operations to help investigate security incidents involving firewalls, collaborating with incident response teams, as necessary.

Performance Optimization

Conduct regular assessments and audits of firewall configurations for efficiency and security.

Collaboration and Communication

Works closely with cross-functional teams (network engineers, system administrators, security operations, devops, etc) to ensure best case firewall practices.

Documentation and Reporting

Maintain comprehensive documentation of firewall configurations, policies and procedures.

Research and Development

Assists with evaluating new firewall technologies and solutions that align with business needs. Stay current with emerging security technologies to enhance the organization’s firewall strategies.

Compliance and Auditing

Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (PCI) through regular audits and assessments. Prepare for and participate in external audits related to firewall security.

Qualifications (Education & Experience) Qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cyber Security, a related area or equivalent experience Working knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, PKI, and Application Security. Practical experience with PC, Server and LAN Security. Strong understanding of Security Architecture and Design, Information Security Standards and Technical Security Risk Assessment methodologies Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, that can communicate security and compliance issues to executives, end users, and security experts in an effective and appropriate manner. Demonstrated experience in managing incident response and in working with external parties on problem resolution. Experience with NSX, Vmware and/or Fortigate preferred.
