A confidential engineering firm is hiring a Structural Engineer to lead and support transportation and infrastructure projects across the Pacific Northwest. This role involves structural design of bridges, retaining walls, culverts, and related systems for public agencies and municipal clients.
What You'll Do: • Design structural components for bridges, retaining walls, and culverts • Perform load calculations, seismic analysis, and code compliance reviews • Develop construction plans, specifications, and technical reports • Collaborate with civil engineers, drafters, and project managers • Support permitting, agency coordination, and construction services • Participate in quality reviews and internal design checks
What We're Looking For: • 4-10+ years of structural engineering experience in bridge or transportation projects • Proficiency in structural software (LPILE, SAP2000, CSI Bridge, etc.) • Knowledge of AASHTO, WSDOT, and FHWA standards • BS in Civil Engineering (MS or Structural emphasis preferred) • PE license strongly preferred • Excellent technical writing and client communication skills
