Under general supervision performs work of moderate difficulty in the management of public programs; performs related work as assigned. This position supports programming for vulnerable older adults and requires at least 50% of time working in the field visiting clients and engaging in outreach activities.
Typical Duties
(Illustrative Only) Develops,implements,andevaluatesprogramsthatprovideservicestothe public Ensures contract and regulatory compliance Participates in the development and administration of program budget Acts as department liaison with various agencies providing resources Conducts comprehensive assessments with individuals and families to identify strengths and areas of need Works with clients and other department divisions to develop plans and strategies for meeting specific goals Provides referrals and information about other service providers, alternative assistance available, client responsibilities, and appeal rights Supports clients in meeting short and long-term goals throughout the term of the case plan Provides follow-up and case plan review and revision as needed Writes grant proposals and develops new funding sources Negotiates contracts Supervises and evaluates employees Interprets guidelines and rules Develops policies and procedures Meets with clients, investigates and resolves client complaints Develops and implements training as needed Prepares and maintains records and reports Performs related duties as assigned Essential functions of this position include but are not limited to sitting for computer work; working with and around other staff; working alone; dealing with interruptions; repetitive motion (hand/wrist) for computer work,; vision acuity (near/ far) for computer work; hearing and speech for ordinary conversation with staff and customers; finger dexterity for typing/ 10-key. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in public/business administration, or closely related field within subject area and two years of related experience, OR
Associate's degree in public/business administration, or closely related field within subject area and three years of related experience, OR
Four years of related experience, OR
any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must obtain an Arizona driver's license by date of hire and maintain it throughout employment. Fingerprint clearance may be required.
This position is exempt from overtime.
Note: Individuals in exempt classifications as part time employees may be classified as non-exempt per FLSA law regarding minimum weekly salary requirements.

- Follow written and verbal instructions
