POSITION: COURT SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE
LOCATION: WAUKEGAN, IL
SALARY: $17.37/HOUR
JOB SUMMARY: You will be responsible for assisting visitors with filing case documents in addition to being assigned specialized responsibilities. Work involves the ability to accurately process a high volume of incoming paperwork and electronic documents and/or customer requests, either over the phone, in person or electronically. Work is distinguished by customer service skills necessary to provide customers with accurate information in a professional and courteous manner.
Becoming a Court Service Clerk would allow you to be involved with the judicial system within local government. You will have endless opportunities to impact and make a difference within Lake County. Being able to build working relationships with employees, 30 countywide departments and the public, is sure to keep you interested and continuously learning.
In order to be successful in this role you should have a high school diploma or GED. Individuals should have a working knowledge of modern office practices, procedures and equipment. In addition, the individual must have good knowledge of English, grammar, spelling, the ability to perform basic math computations. They must possess the ability to effectively problem solve and have the ability to work both individually and in a team atmosphere. This candidate will be responsible for maintaining and keeping court records.
The individual must be able to lift 10 pounds.

Qualifications: REQUIRED SKILLS
Familiarity with routine operating procedures of equipment which can be set up and operated following a few step by step instructions and the skill to operate the equipment.
Skill to perform minor clerical tasks incidental to the operation of the equipment (e.g., maintain machine operating and maintenance records, write new identification labels for computer tapes, etc.)
Skill to perform routine maintenance such as cleaning and lubricating the equipment
Ability to identify if improper machine operation and make basic adjustments
In depth knowledge of the mechanics and capabilities of insert machine
Mechanical aptitude
Ability to understand written instructions, set-up the press, and carry out instructions
Verify job ticket specifications, including any special work instructions before beginning the job
Keep work area staged with product
Perform quality control during each mailing to ensure product meets USPS requirements
Check final inserts for proper folding, sealing, address placement, sequencing and delivery
Communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to be flexible on hours during certain times of the year as well as work overtime, weekends and holiday
Maintain a clean area
