Clearance:Active DoD Secret Clearance
Work Schedule:Onsite, Fulltime, Monday-Friday
Role Overview:
In this role you will support ensuring cybersecurity compliance and risk management in alignment with DoD policies such as DoDI 8500.01 and 8510.01, and relevant NIST publications. You will help design, develop, and implement secure systems and strategies to protect enterprise networks, applications, and data. You will collaborate with technical teams to perform vulnerability assessments, STIG compliance checks, and support secure deployments. Strong communication, critical thinking, and presentation skills are essential, as the role involves both independent and team-based work.

Ability to give presentations and briefings as needed
Specific Skillset
Proficient in designing secure systems, writing secure computer code, and creating the tools needed to prevent, detect, mitigate, and reconstitute information systems.
Able to create, enhance and support the implementation of effective strategies aimed at mitigating risks across a wide spectrum of enterprise applications, systems, networks, and interfaces.
Collaborate with developers, system/network administrators, and other colleagues to guarantee the secure design, development, and deployment of applications and networks.
Conduct regular Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) assessments and vulnerability scans to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
Research and evaluate emerging security technologies to enhance enterprise security posture.
Requirements
Education & Certifications
Highschool Diploma or GED equivalent
Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred but not required
CompTIA Security+
Cisco Certified Network Associate is preferred but not required
Experience Requirements
4+ years of cybersecurity experience
Demonstrated experience in support of the prevention of damage to, protection of, and restoration of computers, electronic communications systems, electronic communications services, wire communication, and electronic communication to ensure data availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and nonrepudiation.
Understanding of the NIST framework and publications.
Familiarity with DoD policies such as DoDI 8500.01 and 8510.01.
