Position Overview
Camp Fire Central Oregon is seeking a collaborative and mission-driven Program Manager to lead innovative youth programs that connect young people to the outdoors, to others, and to themselves.
As a Program Manager, you'll oversee 4-5 programs across our three core areas:
Out-of-school time (afterschool, no-school days, STEAM) Environmental education and camp programming (e.g., Tumalo Day Camp) Teen service and leadership Program managers support and supervise Program Coordinators and seasonal staff, while ensuring safe, inclusive, high-quality programs. They also help design staff trainings, manage program budgets, cultivate community partnerships, and step in during high-need youth situations.

Collaborate with other managers to ensure consistency across programs through shared systems and tools Supervise and coach Program Coordinators and seasonal staff Lead hiring, onboarding, and professional development for program staff Ensure safety and positive program culture through clear policies and direct intervention Monitor, evaluate, and improve program quality through site visits and staff coaching Develop and manage program budgets in coordination with the Program Director Summary of Skills & Qualifications Expected
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 2+ years experience managing youth programs and supervising staff Experience in summer camp, afterschool, or outdoor education Strong leadership, coaching, and facilitation skills Passion for equity, inclusion, and making a difference for youth Benefits
