Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Control Systems Electrician to join our team. In this role, you will work under the guidance of the Plant Engineer to integrate, program, and troubleshoot advanced automation systems, including PLCs, PACs, HMIs, servo systems, and robotics. Your contributions will play a vital role in enhancing our process and packaging equipment's productivity and quality.
Responsibilities
Integrate and troubleshoot various PLC and networking systems.
Ensure all technical documentation is accurate and complete.
Support the training and development of technicians and operators.
Lead or assist in focus improvement projects.
Perform preventative maintenance on electrical, control, and networking systems.
Create and maintain technical documentation for supported systems.
Provide support for new equipment installations.
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or GED. Experience:
Preferred candidates will have prior experience in the corrugated industry, particularly 6 months as a Press Department First Helper and another 6 months in the Press and Finishing Department. Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend technical specifications and instructions. Mathematical Skills:
Proficiency in reading a tape measure, calculating percentages, measurements, volumes, and applying high school math concepts. Reasoning Ability:
Capable of applying common sense to follow instructions and solve standardized problems. Technical Skills:
A working knowledge of equipment design and capabilities, production specifications, and product quality standards. Certificates:
May require a current Lift Truck Operator License. Physical Demands Regularly required to stand, walk, and communicate effectively. Use hands for manipulation, reaching, and crouching as needed. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color perception, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment The employee will encounter moving mechanical parts, wet or humid conditions, and occasional exposure to high places, fumes, and vibrations. The noise level in the workplace is usually loud. Performance Measurements Success will be evaluated based on operating standards such as quality, cost, safety, customer satisfaction, and productivity.
