Overview:
MetroSys is seeking a
Cybersecurity Engineer
to support a client in Phoenix with immediate implementation efforts while a full-time Sr. Security Engineer role is being recruited. This role will focus on two key initiatives: deploying
Tenable Vulnerability Management (Tenable.io)
and
CrowdStrike Identity Protection . The ideal candidate is a self-starter with hands-on experience configuring and optimizing these tools in enterprise environments. Responsibilities: Lead or assist in the implementation of
Tenable.io
for vulnerability scanning and management across hybrid environments.
Deploy and configure
CrowdStrike Identity Protection , integrating it with the existing security stack.
Collaborate with internal security teams, infrastructure, and application owners to ensure seamless integration.
Develop documentation, knowledge transfer materials, and assist in operational handoffs.
Conduct validation and tuning to reduce false positives and enhance visibility.
Ensure implementations align with security policies, industry best practices, and compliance standards.
Requirements: Proven experience with
Tenable.io
and
CrowdStrike Identity Protection
in deployment and operational roles.
5+ years in cybersecurity engineering or consulting roles.
Strong understanding of vulnerability management lifecycle and identity-based threat detection.
Experience working with enterprise IT and hybrid infrastructure environments.
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Industry certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or relevant vendor certifications (Tenable/CrowdStrike).
Familiarity with SIEM platforms, Active Directory, and cloud security principles (AWS/Azure).
Previous experience in consulting or contract-based work is a plus.
