Description
OVERVIEW
Cadrex is searching for an HLA Assembler II who is responsible for assembling complex mechanical and electromechanical components and systems with a focus on quality, precision, and efficiency. This position requires intermediate-level assembly skills, the ability to interpret technical drawings, and experience working in a manufacturing environment. The Assembler II works under moderate supervision and may support training of junior team members.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assemble complex high-level assemblies using hand tools, power tools, and assembly fixtures in accordance with work instructions and blueprints
Interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications to ensure proper component placement and functionality
Perform in-process inspections to ensure quality standards are met throughout the assembly process
Conduct functional tests on subassemblies and final assemblies, reporting issues to quality or engineering teams as needed
Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and any discrepancies or non-conformances
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving assembly issues in collaboration with engineering and quality departments
Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement efforts within the department
Adhere to all company safety protocols and cleanroom or ESD procedures as applicable
Train and mentor Assembler I team members as directed
Requirements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of experience in mechanical or electromechanical assembly in a manufacturing environment preferred
Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, bills of materials, and assembly instructions
Familiarity with tools and techniques used in precision assembly
Basic understanding of ESD and cleanroom protocols
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Basic computer skills and experience with ERP systems preferred

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.
