We’re seeking experienced BAS Technicians to support both service and construction projects in the Central and Southwest Virginia regions. This role is ideal for individuals with strong technical troubleshooting abilities, excellent time management, and the capacity to work independently in dynamic field environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform commissioning, retro-commissioning, and preventative maintenance on HVAC control systems
Install, program, and commission BAS systems, including GUIs and system integrations
Upgrade existing BAS platforms from legacy or pneumatic systems
Diagnose issues related to electrical circuits, field devices, and communication protocols
Execute preventive maintenance plans using functional testing methods and maintain detailed records
Respond to service calls and support fellow technicians during installation or upgrade projects
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of hands-on BAS experience
Proven electro-mechanical aptitude (via education or previous experience)
Strong ability to read and interpret design and construction documents
Comfortable working in various environments (heights, confined spaces, and extreme temperatures)
Eligible to obtain a security clearance and pass a background investigation
Valid driver’s license with an insurable record; ability to operate a company vehicle
Availability for flexible hours, including evenings and overtime as needed
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Familiarity with BAS systems such as Tridium, Alerton, Schneider Electric, Distech, Honeywell, ALC, Invensys, and Trane
Understanding of IP networks (subnets, routing, NAT, firewalls) is a plus
